The Best Way to Follow-Up After a Church Job Interview
Exactly what should you do AFTER you complete your next job interview at a church?
Should you wait to hear back from them? Or should you be a little more proactive?
Here are some guidelines:
1. Preferably, send a hand-written note, thanking the church for the interview. At the very least, send an email.
2. If you don’t hear back (and the church seemed genuinely interested from the interview), give it a week or two and contact them directly. But be cautious: you don’t want to look desperate or like you’re stalking.
Traditionally, churches move very slowly during the hiring process. This is to be expected.
And some churches are just really bad at communicating. (Don’t be surprised when this happens as well).
But showing your sincere interest in a position after the interview will help you stand out, and will definitely make a more positive impression.
